The reason I am a total pauper instead of just your average broke guy, is because I have an addiction to nice hotel rooms. Somehow slumming on people's cots just doesn't get it for me. Sleeping in the livingroom and being woken up at six in the morning by a harried person going to work, or worse, startled out of bed by a howling dog or baby at the crack of dawn, just doesn't seem like vacation to me. My rule for vacationing is this: If the degrading conditions of the vacation are more degrading than regular life, then it's not a vacation. Please mail gift certificates for nights a high-end hotels. Save me from bankruptcy.

I just thought of a cool career opportunity...
like resident non-denominational spiritual counsellor type person...
and like maybe film some porno shoots with paris just to fill in the time now and then...
so if you can get me the job I'll give you a percentage... -

Re: Need Free Nights In Four-Star Hotels
Wed, April 16, 2008 - 1:43 AMAh yes, indeed, you know, I am actually sometimes
force to fulfill that exact role. I've done two marriages,
the last one was a doozy, and no kidding: I was forced
to stay on Maui for like eight days, boozing and 4-star
dining and staying in a condo on the hill over the
ocean because that couple would have no other
priest. And I still actually do some non-sectarian
confessional and counseling stuff from time to time.
I really still am, The Reverend Mel C. Thompson,
although I've yet to make more than a couple hundred
a year on it. This year, so far, none at all. -
