Homesick For SF. Send out prayers that the gods can find me a super-quiet room in a beautiful part of the City, preferrably in the Sea Cliff neighborhood. I need to be on the third floor of a mansion with a private bathroom and roommates who mostly like to read books and who walk around in socks and leave their shoes at the front door and who shut doors lightly and listen to music on headphones. I need a neighborhood with trees and birds and millionaires who will give me largely symbolic jobs at insanely high pay. I need in the good-ol-boy network fast.

Re: A Room In SF
Wed, March 7, 2007 - 11:42 AMI'm glad we're on the same wavelength.
A few days ago my kind roommates agreed to keep me here in this million-dollar house, which, while it's not mine, is an okay way to go, even if my name isn't on any lease anywhere. Plus the SSDI doctor who looked at me yesterday seems to realize I'm pretty far gone, so I think he'll be writing a report that is fairly sympathetic to SSDI for me. He seemed to feel my health was such that it would be dangerous for me to go back to work, (of course some of my friends have been saying that for years). So I need to keep up the search for a mansion with a master-bedroom, since I like bathroom privacy so much. The other day a couple of rich Walnut Creek girls flirted with me, giving me hopes I could find a rich sugar mama in this county who wouldn't mind that I'm useless in so many ways. -

Re: A Room In SF
Wed, March 21, 2007 - 11:28 AMI've been scanning the rentals, and the best deals are when people go in to rent a whole house or a large condo. What's you get up above the three-bedroom range, then it starts to have some cost-efficiency. I like Oliver's idea.
